Echo et Narcisse

Echo et Narcisse takes its title from the myth found in Ovid’s Metamorphoses. This work intertwines Ovid’s story with contemporary interpretations of narcissism. The piece is entirely self-referential, featuring a performer gazing into a mirror, satirizing the egotistical stereotypes often associated with trumpet players and vocalists.
