Disciples delves into the intricate dynamics of leaders and followers. It probes the essence of guiding and being guided, asserting that when an experience or person significantly shapes someone’s life, that individual becomes intertwined with the essence of that experience. Whether one embraces and follows the experience or consciously distances themselves from it, the influence remains a potent force. The stabilizing power of influence is both tumultuous in its nature and, at its extreme, incapacitating.

Disciples is an open-instrumentation, improvisatory piece for 4-10 players. In Disciples, each member of the ensemble plays a different role that mimics a piece of society, such as the following: Leader, Follower, Avoidant, Rogue. The rules of play vary for each role. Each role is of equal importance.
