Modest Mutilation explores how one's fondness of past memories can be rapidly re-contextualized based on their current struggles. Modest Mutilation is an ode to Philip Glass's Knee 5. A vast majority of the elements in Modest Mutilation are derived from a granulated variation of Knee 5. Philip Glass's works have been a large inspiration for many of my early compositions, Knee 5 in particular. Modest Mutilation is a farewell to these old inspirations as my artistry develops.
